Our customers are demanding a solution to store bottles of reduced weight, such as PET, PE, PP or HDPE, and it is for this reason that Lanfranchi has designed a new silo system that allows to reduce the internal load on these lighter bottles. This new system can also be installed on the actual storage systems such as fast silo, ultra clean, etc. and purchased as a retrofit to silos already installed. The main concept of this application is to distribute and reduce the pressure of bottles placed in the upper part of the Silos respecto those that are in the lower part.
It is a continuous series of inclined walls (see photo here attached) that placed inside the Silo divide it into areas, obtaining as a first effect a uniform distribution of loads over all the length of the silos (horizontal loads during the emptying operation). Another important result is that these continuous deflectors reduce also vertical loads in fact because they are inclined, the loads of the bottles placed in the upper part does not affect the bottles on the lower part.
